NewslettersConfessions of an Unbalanced WomanHere we are in the middle of March and for goodness sake, I've already had many days when I feel so off course and out of balance. What happened to the New Year's resolution of creating more balance in my life? Can you relate? Recently I was asked to do a presentation on Balance. I chuckled. I started my talk with "confessions of an unbalanced woman"! You see, I was running on overdrive, living an unbalanced life for so many years, that I drove my health into the ground and still need to consistently do course corrections when the hard wired habits creep in. My passion for birthing Women, Wisdom & Wellness, Inc. in part came from my personal journey of discovering how to create balance, vitality and fulfillment. So what is Balance? You can look up definitions in the dictionary, yet my favorite is "to bring or hold in equilibrium; poise". I've learned over the years however, that balance for one woman, may look very different for another. It's not a matter of right versus wrong. The questions I've learned to ask myself are:
This week, I invite you to take some time to ponder these questions for yourself. In the next few weeks, we'll discuss further how to create more balance, whether we're playing the role of "hunter" or "gatherer".
