Your Endocrine EngineHi, I hope you all enjoyed a lovely Holiday weekend. Personally, I was able to fill my tanks while vacationing with Mark!
Last week, we talked about functional medicine and the impact on your hormonal health. As the month of May, Women's Health Month, draws to a close, I want to leave you with some simple tips that can help your Endocrine Engine (hormone system) function optimally to provide you with vitality:
- Examine your lifestyle and work habits. If they are out of balance, they will send your hormones out of balance.
- Nurture yourself and relationships. You need to keep your own tanks filled for your hormones (Endocrine Engine) to work properly and fuel your femininity
- Hydrate (water) at least 2.5 liters or 8-10 glasses per day
- Exercise improves hormone metabolism, helping rid your body of hormone imposters we are all exposed to daily
- Cleanse your gut at least every 6 months. Additionally, consider cleaning out your pantry, fridge, cleaning closet and make-up for the hormone imposters that are lurking and clogging up your hormonal system (filters)
- Nourish your endocrine system to provide phytonutrients for the biochemical processes to occur properly. Increasing your fruits and veggies is important.
