Happy September! I hope you have all enjoyed a lovely holiday weekend. With an audience from coast to coast and covering North America, I know some are experienceing sunny, but slightly cooler days, and others are wading through water, or expecting it to hit by a storm.

As I reflect on this, I think about us as women; some of us are enjoying wonderful health- at least for now.  Others paying attention, aware of impending risks, are taking action to safeguard your health.  Unfortunately, the statistics are way too high, for the amount of women who are totally unprepared and totally out of touch with what might "hit".

As you know, Women and Heart Disease has been a passion of mine for over 17 years. Despite my efforts adn overwhleming media coverage, the AHA Go Red/Red Dress Campaign and the Sister-to-Sister Campaign, surveys indicate that 43% of women still do not know that cardiovascular disease (CVD) is by far the number one killer of women.
